If you’re just getting started with Human Design, here’s what you should know
If you’re new to Human Design, the first thing to know is this
you don’t need to understand everything to start benefiting from it.
Human Design can feel overwhelming at first.
trust me, I get it... that's exactly why I started doing this and sharing this knowledge.
Charts, gates, numbers, arrows, terminology. It’s easy to think you’re supposed to study it before you’re allowed to use it.
You’re not.
Human Design works best in the moment.
You’re not here to become someone new
Human Design isn’t about upgrading yourself, changing or fixing what’s wrong.
It’s about awareness, growth & empowerment.
If you’ve spent a lot of your life adapting to expectations, this can feel unfamiliar at first. Sometimes even uncomfortable. That’s a normal part of the process.
Think about it - you're doing something new that can and most likely will shift your perspectives about how you live your life on a daily basis.
Start with the basics and stay there longer than you think you should
Most people rush past the most important parts because they want depth right away.
You don’t need depth yet, that may cause more confusion.. let's create a strong foundation before adding more on.
Start with:
your energy type
your strategy
your authority
Those three alone can change how you move through work, relationships, parenting, and decisions.
If something doesn’t click immediately, that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. It usually means you’re still working through old conditioning.
Your mind will want to take over. That’s part of the process.
Human Design is body based. Most of us were taught to live from our minds.
So when you first start, your mind will try to analyze your chart, question it, compare it, or look for proof.
The shift happens when you start noticing how your body responds in situations instead of trying to think your way through it.
Not everything will feel good right away
Some parts of your chart will feel validating. Others might feel confronting, like you're being called out.
You might recognize patterns you’ve been living with for years without realizing it (or maybe you did realize it, but now you understand why). You might see where you’ve been minimizing your needs to survive, to be liked, or to stay safe.
That’s not something to rush through, really take time to process that.
Human Design isn’t here to make you comfortable. It’s here to make you honest with yourself and aware of yourself.
Comparison will distort your experience
Your pace matters. Your season matters. Your nervous system matters.
If something feels forced, it probably is.
Don't give in to pressure, make sure that you are aligned.
You don’t need permission to take this slowly
Pay attention to your decisions.
Notice where resistance shows up or when you feel pressured.
Watch what happens when you stop pushing and allow yourself to flow.
That’s where the information becomes embodied.
One last thing
Human Design is a tool. Not a rulebook. Not an identity to hide behind.
Use it to build trust with yourself, not to limit yourself or define who you are.
